Happy July 4th weekend
Let me take a moment to say that i'm proud to be an american, where at least i know i'm free.
i've been given grief about the fact that i get goosebumps when i hear the national anthem sung at a sporting event, or get teary eyed watching the bellagio fountions playing 'God bless the USA', but i am not ashamed of that. i've lived and been to places that really make you appreciate what we have.
i took this picture mostly because i'm free to(but swd isn't).
now go get you some black cats, roman candles, and screaming mimis, so nobody makes fun of you for not having any of the good stuff.

if you get emotional for the Stars n Stripes, you would have balled if you were with us in Vancouver back in the spring of '03. The Iraq war was fresh and the jackasses in Montreal had recently booed the US flag at a hockey game. We went to the Canucks game vs Dallas (it's fun being the away team fan) and didn't know what to expect. When the national anthem started, the entire arena erupted in cheers and a standing ovation. I got the teary eye thing going. Amazing moment.

I'm right there with you, Kracker. Well, I never lived anywhere else than the USA, but that don't mean I don't choke up.
SWD is a sneaky slanteye. The government better keep watching him.
