monday night when i got home, i couldn't get the front door to open. it would not budge.
after i got inside i found that the deadbolt, while moving, was not opening up all the way. it was cold, and i just wanted to play civilization so i just left it.
yesterday i got ambitious enough to take it apart and see if i could fix it. i'm pretty sure it was just worn out, as i couldn't get it to function correctly again.
by some crazy coincidence i actually had looked at handlesets over the weekend while i was at lowes with a friend picking up some building supplies for them, so i kinda already knew what was there and what i thought would look good on my door. so i went out and bought a new front door handleset. wow, those sets are something they are proud of.
by the time i bought the set and had dinner, i didn't get home till pretty late. i only got the deadbolt replaced last night. hopefully i'll get the door handle on this evening, and have pictures soon.
i think it's already looking way better!
